Add-On Modules (Active Development)

    • We are developing add-on hardware modules alongside our own aftermarket replacement parts, ensuring you are not constrained by your existing circuitry.

      These add-on hardware modules will also allow you to restore functionality that may have been lost due to a malfunctioning module from an original control system that is no longer in production.

      Our targeted modules for development include, but are not limited to:
      - Relay and DC dimmer modules
      - HVAC interface modules
      - Switch modules

AnyRVCommander is proud to announce the continued expansion and diversification of our product development, including a growing lineup of compatible control boards and interface solutions for a variety of RV systems.

Our newest developments include the DOM-CTLBD-* replacement control-board family and the upcoming BDT-HVAC Bi-Directional Translator family. These products were engineered to solve one of the RV industry’s most persistent HVAC problems: maintaining compatibility between different generations of rooftop air-conditioning equipment and coach control systems.


DOM-CTLBD Direct-Fit HVAC Control Boards


  • The DOM-CTLBD Series consists of OEM-quality, direct-fit replacement control boards for roof-mounted RV air conditioners.
  • The DOM-CTLBD-V1P is designed as a direct-fit control-board replacement for Dometic Penguin II series rooftop units.
  • The DOM-CTLBD-V1F is designed as a direct-fit control-board replacement for Dometic FreshJet series units, as well as certain other applications in which the control board is housed inside a separate enclosure within the return-air plenum.


Both models provide complete OEM-equivalent HVAC functionality, including support for:

  • Air conditioning
  • Heat-pump operation
  • Electric heat strips
  • Fan-speed control
  • Multi-zone installations
  • Applicable onboard fault monitoring and system-control functions


The most significant advancement, however, is complete interoperability between supported RV-C and legacy HVAC communication protocols.


Traditionally, replacing an older rooftop air conditioner with a newer-generation model can create major compatibility problems. The new unit may not communicate with the coach’s existing thermostat, HVAC gateway, zone controller, or other rooftop units. Owners may be forced to replace otherwise functional equipment throughout the coach simply because the old and new generations speak different protocols.


The DOM-CTLBD Series was designed to eliminate that limitation. Both the DOM-CTLBD-V1P and DOM-CTLBD-V1F can communicate using both RV-C and supported legacy protocols. This allows compatible rooftop air conditioners from different generations and model families to be mixed within the same coach while continuing to communicate with one another and with the existing climate-control system.


Instead of forcing an all-or-nothing HVAC conversion, these boards provide a practical path for replacing only the equipment that actually needs to be replaced.


BDT-HVAC Bi-Directional Translators

AnyRVCommander will also soon announce the BDT-HVAC Series.


BDT stands for Bi-Directional Translator. The BDT-HVAC family incorporates the same multi-protocol, multi-generation communication support developed for the DOM-CTLBD product line, but in a much smaller and more compact device.


Unlike the DOM-CTLBD boards, a BDT-HVAC device is not a replacement air-conditioner control board. It does not perform compressor, fan, reversing-valve, heat-strip, or other high-voltage switching functions. Instead, it serves exclusively as a protocol translator and system adapter, allowing supported RV-C and legacy HVAC equipment to exchange commands and operating information in both directions.


The BDT-HVAC Series is intended for installations where the original equipment can remain in service but a communication bridge is needed between otherwise incompatible HVAC components, control systems, or generations of equipment.

The BDT-HVAC will additionally be offered in a second model variant with analog thermostat support. This model is intended for coaches equipped with thermostats that predate multiplex communication, allowing owners to retain their existing analog thermostat rather than being forced to upgrade the entire control system.


By popular request, the analog-capable model will also include a selectable operating mode supporting the use of a more commonly available residential smart thermostat, if desired. This provides owners with another practical control option while preserving compatibility with supported RV rooftop HVAC equipment.


Analog BDT-HVAC models are designed exclusively for single-zone applications and will not operate in a multi-zone environment.


BDT-HVAC models will be offered both with and without integrated Wi-Fi, allowing customers and installers to select the appropriate level of local connectivity for each application.
