As an RV owner, I always found it to be extremely frustrating that the control systems found in modern RVs and Motor Coaches alike are virtually impossible to self-service. Manufacturers are generally reluctant to give out technical information or diagnostic tools, and act as though these systems are proprietary. In reality, they are established and open data communications standards. Often, the manufacturers cease support and production of various control system components as they age, even though technological changes are often non-existent.
